Starting in the second half of 2027, Saudi crude will be stored in Singapore's Jurong Rock Caverns, which can hold roughly 9 million barrels. The goal is to keep oil flowing to Asia if the Strait of Hormuz gets choked off again, after the Iran war threw supplies into chaos. Before the war, Asia got 2/3 of its oil from the Middle East. It could see French Rafale jets armed with nuclear missiles deployed across Europe, giving Russia something new to worry about. France is also restarting nuclear warhead production for the first time in decades, while keeping its arsenal size secret. The current estimate is around 290. America's B61 nuclear bombs in Europe were designed in the 1960s and are increasingly seen as more symbolic than practical against Russia. Their family asked a court to free them, but the judge threw the case out over a paperwork issue. Meanwhile, a terrorism court has pushed back its verdict against Aleema yet again, to November 26, the same day her detention ends.
