Each side is going after the other's lifeline, and neither has cut it. Here's the problem for Riyadh. A capital whose airport reopens under a standing threat is a capital that has already lost control of its own airspace, and Patriots fired at $20,000 drones are a trade the kingdom cannot keep making with a US stockpile that won't recover before 2030. Britain's Typhoons just deployed to help, and CBS says Washington is only now weighing whether to fly cover for the Saudis. So the real forecast: the Houthis will keep hitting Riyadh's airport until either American jets show up over Saada or Riyadh's own offensive takes the Taiz-Aden road and gives Tehran a reason to stop. Jews in Paris, London and on American campuses get judged for decisions made in Jerusalem that they had no part in, and they’re the ones who absorb the hostility when Israel’s conduct goes wrong. The world's message has been delivered loudly enough: change how you fight in Gaza, change how you treat Lebanon, change the assumption that Washington will always write the check. A Netanyahu win promises the “job to finish” with Iran and another year of the same verdict from the same crowds abroad, and that verdict falls on Jews who never cast a ballot in Israel.
