🇪🇺 Heatwaves in Europe may have caused more than 50,000 deaths during the summer of 2026, according to a new study, making it the deadliest summer on record for heat-related fatalities in the cities examined. Researchers studied 854 European cities and estimated 50,391 deaths between June and August, a 71% increase from the previous record in 2022.
