🇺🇸 Major American corporations are cutting tens of thousands of jobs in 2026 as rising costs and AI adoption push companies to rethink their workforces.
Some of the biggest reported layoffs include:
• UPS: Up to 30,000 jobs
• Oracle: Up to 30,000 projected, not confirmed
• Amazon: 16,000 jobs
• Omnicom: 15,000 jobs
• Meta: 8,000 reported
• Microsoft: 4,800 jobs
• Dow Chemical: 4,500 jobs
• Cisco: Fewer than 4,000 jobs
And the cuts aren't limited to tech. Companies across manufacturing, finance and transportation are also reducing their workforces.
With expenses climbing and AI making it possible to do more with fewer employees, the layoffs are picking up serious pace.
The troubling part is that while companies are becoming more efficient, the cuts are only getting more brutal as wars send the cost of living through the proverbial roof.
