🇮🇹🇪🇸 Italy and Spain are ENDING the border controls imposed after the massive migrant INVASION of Ceuta.
Italy suspended normal Schengen arrangements with Spain on July 31, fearing migrants who entered the Spanish territory of Ceuta from Morocco could continue onward into Italy.
Madrid retaliated with restrictions of its own, calling Rome's move discriminatory.
Now both governments have agreed not to extend the controls, restoring normal cross-border travel for their citizens.
The deal will include enhanced intelligence and information sharing aimed at protecting the wider Schengen area.
Europe's internal borders are reopening, but the security measures triggered by the Ceuta crisis aren't disappearing entirely.

@MarioNawfal What a weak move by Meloni -- utterly disappointing.
