🇺🇸 Lockheed Martin is scaling up Vectis before the first aircraft has even flown. Four more vehicles are being added to the program, with first flight targeted for the end of 2027. That tells you where the bet is going: not replacing the F-35, but surrounding it with cheaper, autonomous aircraft that can extend reach, carry risk and multiply firepower. The future fighter fleet may look more like one expensive brain with a lot of disposable muscle around it. Source: @sentdefender / Writer: Oliver

🇮🇷🇸🇦 Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei on cooperating with members of the Mecca Alliance: "Tehran’s hosting of senior military and security officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye is a key development toward establishing regional diplomacy. Lasting stability and security in the Middle East can only be achieved by relying on the region’s own countries, and this meeting could pave the way for broader cooperation." While Iran isn't in any formal process for joining the alliance, the statement comes shortly after Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, said that the whole Muslim world should act as a united front. 🇺🇸🇮🇷 Oil dipped this morning... but don’t get too excited. Traders are betting the pain is here to stay. Brent slipped 1.3% to around $115 after a wild Friday that sent it to $117 and gave it its highest weekly close in more than 4 years. That’s nearly DOUBLE where it started the year. The big fear is Trump launching fresh strikes on Iran after the midterms, while Iran keeps hitting tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and the Houthis keep pounding Saudi Arabia. Even oil for delivery next April is trading just under $100, so the market isn’t expecting relief anytime soon. Anyone hoping for cheaper gas by spring might want to sit down for this one. 🇧🇷 Brazil’s election ended with Lula winning by 4.4 million votes... and half the country asking HOW?!?! Going into yesterday, Flávio Bolsonaro was the CLEAR betting favorite at around 80% on Polymarket. Then, minutes after polls were supposed to close, a Supreme Court justice stepped in and extended voting nationwide by 2 hours, without waiting for the electoral court to rule. That justice, Cristiano Zanin, used to be Lula’s PERSONAL DEFENSE LAWYER in the Car Wash corruption case, and Lula appointed him to the court. (Which might explain that look of pure devotion in the photo.) Both campaigns had asked for more time, but the order caused chaos. Stations that had already closed had to stay shut, machines in parts of Rio couldn’t be restarted, and the vote count was frozen. When counting resumed, Flávio briefly LED. But the betting markets flipped to Lula about an hour before the official count did. Bolsonaro is refusing to concede and wants the entire runoff annulled, calling the extension an illegal rule change by a judge tied to his opponent. When Lula’s former lawyer rewrites the rules mid-vote, the least Brazil deserves is a full investigation. If it’s all clean, what’s there to fear? 🇷🇺🇺🇦 Ukraine hit Voronezh with drones and missiles overnight, and a 25-story business center in the middle of the Russian city took a direct hit. Explosions and fires broke out all over town, with drones striking several apartment buildings and setting cars on fire in the parking lots below. The regional governor says 2 people were killed and 17 injured, including a child. Russia claims it shot down 117 drones over the region, more than 70 of them over Voronezh itself. Residents say the air raid sirens never went off. Separately, Russian Railways says a drone attack damaged a carriage on an Anapa to Moscow train near Voronezh, injuring 5 people. Voronezh sits about 200 km from the Ukrainian border, and Ukraine hit a military airfield there just 3 days ago. Sources: Kyiv Independent, Meduza / Writer: Julie t.co/H0aE32hjNB t.co/iH1tRdv4Ky

🇺🇸 Anthropic’s AI just went shopping for Georgia election data... and decided the checkout was optional. While working on an internal statistics project, the AI took it upon itself to request a token and bypass the paywall on a Georgia state dashboard containing election data. Nobody asked it to. It just went ahead. The data was limited to aggregate vote counts, and Anthropic says no voter records were accessed or changed. And it’s not Claude’s first time sneaking past a paywall. Earlier this month, Anthropic admitted catching the model dodging fees and token restrictions on other websites, including U.S. government sites. Anthropic says it's now blocked the behavior. The first sign of AI becoming human? It's already allergic to paying for yet another subscription 😂 Sources: Axios, Reuters / Writer: Julie

🇺🇦🇷🇺 Zelensky’s own former spokesperson thinks he should pack his bags for Moscow Iuliia Mendel, who spoke for Zelensky from 2019 to 2021, wants him to meet Putin face to face and agree to compromises that could end the war. She points out that long before politics, Zelensky built his comedy career in Russia, performed in Moscow, made his first millions there and got to know plenty of people in Putin’s circle. So instead of acting like he has nothing in common with them, she wants him to drop the “maximalist games” and put those old ties to work for peace. Zelensky, though, made his feelings clear last month when asked when he’d visit Moscow: “On a missile”. Source: Fox News Digital / Writer: Daniyal

🇺🇸 JEFFREY EPSTEIN TURNED FAMOUS PEOPLE INTO BAIT FOR OTHER FAMOUS PEOPLE. Nine years of correspondence were traced between Epstein and Woody Allen, revealing how carefully he built his social network. In late 2010, Epstein wanted Allen at a dinner in his Manhattan townhouse. Prince Andrew was the draw. Once Allen agreed to come, his name immediately became part of the pitch to other guests. Emails promoted the dinner by listing Prince Andrew and Woody Allen together, giving the next invitee two prestigious reasons to show up. The investigation says Epstein spent heavily on Allen through gifts, favors and invitations, then used that relationship to reach deeper into cultural and political circles, including connections in France. One expert explained the psychology behind it: when someone is constantly surrounded by Harvard professors, celebrities and royalty, other people start thinking, “How bad could he be?” That social credibility was one of Epstein’s most useful tools for expanding the circle. 🇺🇸 THIS IS WHAT GROWING UP IN THORNWOOD LOOKED LIKE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO NEVER REALLY LEFT IT. A raw vlog from the Thornwood Apartments area of Chicago Heights follows a group explaining how deep their ties to the neighborhood go. Some grew up in the apartments, some have family there, and several said the bonds go back to kindergarten, high school and around 2012. They describe “194” and Thornwood as the end of the Heights, a place where entire stretches are apartments and cornerstones instead of houses. For them, the lifestyle started early. They talk about watching older guys, “jumping off the porch” young and learning the neighborhood before they were old enough to really understand it. What makes the footage interesting is the contrast. Nearby landmarks and major roads can make the area look ordinary from the outside. The people living there describe something completely different: a hood identity built over years, family ties, school connections and a culture that started long before the camera showed up.
