🇮🇱🇮🇷 Netanyahu wants to strike Iran. His own military chief is apparently pushing back.
I spoke with Alan Eyre about extraordinary reports from Israeli Channels 12 and 13 that IDF chief Eyal Zamir is resisting Netanyahu's push for an attack just days before Israel's elections.
Zamir reportedly wants evidence, legal clarity and formal authorization before risking another war.
And the timing is decisive.
Alan believes Netanyahu is desperate to reverse his political fortunes, but warned that the bigger danger extends well beyond Israel's elections.
He expects another U.S. or Israeli strike on Iran, followed by retaliation that could hit Gulf energy infrastructure, undersea cables and global oil supplies.
What really concerns me is how close we may be to another war that neither side can easily stop.
If these reports are accurate, Israel's military leadership may be the last obstacle between Netanyahu and another devastating escalation.
