CNN Brasil reported from Paraná that voters still waiting to cast their ballots were instructed to move to another location while election officials awaited further guidance. The expectation was that they would likely vote using paper ballots because the necessary ballots were not available at the polling station and had to be transported from the Regional Electoral Court in Curitiba, roughly 40 mins away. This comes after confusion over the extension of voting until 7 PM Brasília time. Electoral authorities clarified that the extension ordered by TSE president Zanin applies only to locations where voting was still underway when the decision was issued. Regional election officials, including in Pernambuco, say sections that had already closed their ballot boxes cannot simply restart voting. That means voters who were unable to cast ballots before their polling station closed won't necessarily get another chance under the extension.
