Electoral authorities clarified that the extension ordered by TSE president Zanin applies only to locations where voting was still underway when the decision was issued. Regional election officials, including in Pernambuco, say sections that had already closed their ballot boxes cannot simply restart voting. That means voters who were unable to cast ballots before their polling station closed won't necessarily get another chance under the extension.
