Energy intelligence firm Kpler reports that Iran's remaining trackable offshore oil inventory has fallen to zero, with outstanding payments expected to run out by mid-December. Before the war began in February, Iran held roughly 135 million barrels of crude in floating storage, allowing it to continue earning revenue despite restrictions on new exports. That stockpile is now exhausted, and U.S. Central Command estimates the blockade has already deprived Tehran of at least $25 billion in oil revenue. Oil directly accounts for around 30% of Iran's government budget, with some estimates putting its total contribution, including indirect revenues, as high as 60%. Some oil exports may continue through alternative routes, but without an agreement to ease the blockade, Iran faces mounting financial pressure ahead of its new fiscal year in March.
