🇺🇸 The S&P 500 is near a record high, but most of its stocks are in a bear market...
About 84% trade at least 10% below their peaks. More than half are down 20% or more.
When the index hit its record last week, only 15 of its 504 stocks did the same. The 20 biggest names make up roughly half its value.
So where is the money going?
Its picks are cloud, chips and power.
Cloud: Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet rent out the computing power AI runs on.
Chips: Marvell says it could hit $70 to $90 billion in yearly revenue by fiscal 2031. That is nearly 10 times what it made in fiscal 2026.
Power: Google signed a 20 year deal to buy nuclear power from Constellation Energy. It funds a $4.3 billion upgrade of 11 reactors.
The stock to avoid is Nike, down about 47% this year.

@MarioNawfal It's crazy to think 10 stocks are doing the lifting for the other 490. Nvidia and nine other tech names are about 70% of the S&P's returns, while roughly 60% of the index is down 20% or more.
