🇺🇸🇨🇳🇯🇵 The U.S. military is banning Chinese-made BYD vehicles from a major air base in Japan...
The concern: their CAMERAS and sensors could potentially expose sensitive information.
Kadena Air Base in Okinawa will begin turning away BYD vehicles on Monday, including cars belonging to personnel and contractors as well as commercial vehicles and taxis.
The reported restriction comes after Washington added BYD to a list of companies it believes are aiding China's military.
U.S. military officials and BYD had not confirmed the new restriction when Reuters reported the story.
For Washington, the security concern is no longer just Chinese telecom equipment or apps, it's increasingly the connected vehicles driving onto military bases.

@MarioNawfal You guys really think banning a few taxis at an air base is going to stop anything when the government itself doesn't even know where its own trillions of dollars go, it’s just pure political theater to distract us from the absolute mess they’re making of the actual economy
