🇸🇦🇦🇪🇮🇷 Washington says more oil is leaving the Gulf than before the war... an early assessment has the UAE down 35% and the Houthis doing four times the damage to Saudi Arabia that Iran did in 40 days The arithmetic runs the other way. Take Iran’s 14% off the top, and by Larry’s math, if the Gulf producers lost even 30% of their capacity, the most the strait can move is about 60% of its pre war flow. Larry Johnson, former CIA, says there are only two ways the official number works: “There is no way and there’s no way in hell. Okay. Those are the two ways.” Larry expects the strikes once markets close Friday, and he says Iran’s 31 regional commanders are already cleared to fire if Tehran goes silent, so the next round hits an oil system Aramco’s own chief says needs at least two years to repair. If the kingdom cracks, it starts dumping Treasuries to pay its bills, and nobody in Washington has run those numbers. @newsonof @WeTheBrandon

🇮🇱 🇮🇷 Israel could go after Fordow, Arak and Natanz as soon as this weekend. Anthony Aguilar lays out the plan he expects, with US strikes along Iran’s southern coast, Baluch and Kurdish fighters stirring trouble on the borders to pull the IRGC away, and Israeli jets hitting the nuclear sites that last year’s strikes left standing: “It’s likely going to happen before the US midterms, likely this weekend or soon thereafter on Monday the 26th.” If he’s right, Israelis could wake up to a new war the day before they vote.

🇺🇸 Trump calls Vivek “very smart” after noting he only got about 2% against him The number is a bit low compared with his Iowa result, but he never broke out of the single digits nationally. Not sure if that was a compliment or a subtle mocking 😅 Writer: Lucas t.co/1dC3Cz1Cde

🇺🇸Trump: We will "produce more diesel and more gasoline at RECORD levels." Trump announced in Iowa that his administration is using the Defense Production Act to inject $150M directly into American fuel refining capacity. Addressing the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, he said that the U.S. holds vast oil reserves and will knock the HELL out of enemies targeting them! Strong words. We’ll need strong actions to back it up while Iran plays chicken with peace talks. Writer: Bri t.co/3F8EwsRGgy

The broadcast claimed the warhead went from 50kg to 100kg, had AI targeting assistance, and a jet engine version. Although this is not confirmed. 🚨🇪🇺 European Parliament demands full TERROR designation for the Houthis! Lawmakers adopted a resolution calling on the Council of the EU to place the Houthis, their political wing, and their military command on the official terror list. The move comes after relentless drone strikes and Red Sea shipping blockades. The decision now sits with all 27 EU member states. 🇮🇱 🇮🇷 🇺🇸 Israel’s next strike plan reportedly goes after Iran’s power plants and water facilities... and Iran has every reason to answer in kind. Retired Green Beret Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar says the US pulling assets out of Al Udeid points to another round of escalation, one where both sides stop holding back on civilian infrastructure: “We’re about to enter the phase of total war where power plants, desalination facilities, power generation, civil infrastructure bases, headquarters, those type of things are going to be struck harder.” Every water plant on Israel’s list puts one across the Gulf in Iran’s crosshairs too.

🇺🇸 Philip Pilkington says America’s financial system is more fragile than it looks. His key point: foreign money isn’t mainly propping up U.S. government debt anymore. It’s flowing into stocks, especially AI. Pilkington thinks that matters because valuations are now extremely stretched. If the AI trade breaks, one of the biggest supports for the dollar could break with it. And in a real flight to safety, he doesn’t think investors will automatically run to Treasuries. He thinks they run to gold. @philippilk

🇺🇸 Bro! Brooklyn doesn’t FW ISIS! This lady is about to find out! She’s the first woman in the U.S. to go on trial after becoming an ISIS bride at 18. Prosecutors say she received training from the group, and a video of her holding an AK-47 in her husband’s Syrian home was introduced as evidence. I’m not saying the woman is innocent… but I’m still curious about what crime she committed. In America, holding a gun is your right under the Second Amendment, with a few caveats. She also claimed that her father, an ISIS supporter killed in a U.S. airstrike, sold her to her husband for $5,000. That’s a tough case legally. Writer: Jamie t.co/HKwI1IUOk7

🇺🇸 Rep. Pramila Jayapal RUSHED to defend a man who TACKLED an ICE officer, calling the agency “rogue militia” Funny enough she cut out that last part of the video… The Washington Democrat posted that a U.S. citizen was assaulted by officers in Long Beach and demanded Congress cut their funding. ICE released the full footage showing the man clearly tackling an officer to the ground. She defended him before the video came out, but the clip doesn’t match the story she told 🥶 Writer: Lucas t.co/cVGw7RhjLu

🇺🇸 Meghan Markle’s father investigated for child pornography! Thomas Markle Sr., 82, faces a probe by Philippine authorities and the FBI after his son Thomas Jr., allegedly turned him in for possessing a MASSIVE collection of child sexual abuse material. Thomas Jr. claims he uncovered hundreds, if not THOUSANDS, of photos and videos at his father’s home in Cebu, Philippines. It includes videos of girls no older than 10 or 11 engaged in sexual acts, as well as a 15-minute video of naked girls on his father’s old cellphone. PHP powers much of the web, and two critical flaws just forced governments to tell sites to patch or go offline. The bugs allow remote code execution without login. AI helped researchers uncover flaws that had gone undetected for years. Japan issued a late-night warning, and some ministries and banks took pages down. No major breaches are confirmed. Meanwhile, an Indian certificate company used keys as weak as the number 4, and GitLab disclosed a perfect 10.0 vulnerability dating back to 2014. The internet keeps proving how fragile it is. If UK finances crack, he thinks London may have no choice but to unload part of its huge U.S. Treasury holdings. Then comes contagion. France’s heavy private debt is deeply connected to European banks and the City of London, which is exactly how financial stress can jump borders fast. And Pilkington’s bigger claim is even more interesting: He thinks the old “flight to safety” into Treasuries may be weakening. The new safe haven, in his view, is gold. @philippilk

🇺🇸 Maine voted 75% to ban superPACs and the case is now one appeals ruling from a shot at the Supreme Court... the lawyer who argued down Trump's tariffs is carrying it The target is a 2010 lower court decision called SpeechNow, which is what created superPACs two months after Citizens United, and that distinction is the whole case. Harvard law professor Lawrence Lessig says it lets the justices keep Citizens United intact and still kill unlimited money: "You can say Citizens United was completely correctly decided, but nothing in Citizens United means we have to have superPACs." Billionaires went from 0.3% of outside money in 2010 to 19% in 2024, and the first Trump voter Lessig met in Maine signed the petition and spent the day signing up every Trump voter who walked past, so if the First Circuit moves fast, 2028 could be the first election without them. @WeTheBrandon

🇺🇸 Passengers are SWITCHING to United just to get Starlink on the plane!! United CEO Scott Kirby says people who stuck with the same airline for years are now booking United solely because of the Wi-Fi. Roughly half of United’s daily flights already have it, more than every other U.S. carrier combined, and the airline is installing it on about 20 planes a week. Starlink is already changing how people pick flights. Once it’s the standard, the difference is going to feel even bigger 🔥 @Starlink / Writer: Lucas t.co/9HGi9qG1g3

🇬🇧🇺🇸 Philip Pilkington thinks Britain could become the next major pressure point in the bond crisis. His concern: the UK is a large buyer of U.S. Treasuries. If Britain itself falls into a serious financial crisis, those purchases could weaken just when America needs them most. He sees Britain as one of the weakest links in the chain, with France another possible trigger. And if stress spreads through Europe, that could feed directly back into the U.S. Treasury market. That’s the part worth watching. America’s bond problem may not start in America. @philippilk

🇩🇪🇸🇪🇬🇧 Germany is shopping for a new fighter jet partner, and it has 2 offers Its own defense officials want to build the jet with Sweden and Spain, while Britain’s prime minister wants Germany to join the UK’s project with Italy and Japan. Germany needs a new partner because its jet project with France fell apart in June, after years of fighting between their companies. Advice papers inside Germany’s defense ministry say Sweden and Spain are the better bet, since those countries need the same kind of jet and Germany would get a fairer share of the work. They also take a swipe at Britain’s top defense company, BAE Systems, saying it didn’t treat Germany as an equal partner the last time they built a jet together. Nothing’s decided yet, and Germany’s defense minister hasn’t backed either option. And after how things ended with France, you can see why Berlin is taking its time. Source: POLITICO / Writer: Daniyal
