🇪🇺🇷🇺🇺🇸 Europe is hunting for someone to talk to Putin before it gets cut out of the Ukraine peace talks.
Witkoff just offered Putin a 3-way summit with Trump and Zelensky, and Europe is worried it won't have its own representative in those talks.
Finding one is tricky. The Czech president says Putin doesn't want to talk to von der Leyen or Kallas, and has stopped talking to Macron too.
Finland’s president Alexander Stubb is one name getting attention. He's close to Trump and next door to Russia, but back in June he said he isn't the right man for the job.
Another option is EU Council chief António Costa, who reportedly told leaders last week he won't call Putin for now.
And for now, the U.S. is already at the table, while Europe is still arguing over who gets the chair.
