Financial regulator BaFin says the Hamburg branch of Bank Saderat Iran is being liquidated in the wake of sanctions and is no longer allowed to do any banking business. The branch actually lost its license last year for breaking the rules and never fixing the problems the regulator flagged. Last month, a Hamburg court appointed a liquidator.
