🇨🇱 LIGHTNING STRIKE ON A PLANE! This is the insane moment when everyone on a domestic flight in Chile looked around and wondered whether they were still ALIVE after a sudden flash of lightning. Luckily, the plane landed safely at its intended destination. Of course, that comes down to the fact that modern planes act like Faraday cages, channeling lightning across their conductive outer shells, protecting passengers and critical systems from serious damage. A small rooftop satellite dish could soon make a huge difference in rural India. Starlink spent over 5 years working with regulators, building local gateways and getting the infrastructure ready. That's a lot of effort behind the scenes. India has plenty of places where decent internet is still a struggle. Remote villages, mountain communities and areas miles away from the nearest fibre connection. Once Starlink goes live, those people, schools and businesses will have a whole new way to connect. Starlink is ready to connect India to space. @Starlink @SpaceX / Writer: Annette, Designer: Janné

🇺🇸ICE is causing some big cracks for the midterms The deportation crackdown is rapidly becoming a heated flashpoint across key swing states. In Wisconsin, GOP nominee Tom Tiffany wants a mandate forcing local sheriffs to work with ICE. But Democrat David Crowley is drawing a hard line there demanding judicial warrants and banning face masks. The feds have detained over 2,100 people in Wisconsin since January alone. Trump's deportation drive has increasingly collided with state and local governments. Source: Fox News / Writer: Bri

🇺🇸 In Alaska, both ballots will have a Daniel Sullivan, and Trump is calling that a straight SCAM He said Democrats put up Daniel J. Sullivan Jr., a retired teacher with no political background, to confuse voters against the incumbent Dan S. Sullivan. The Alaska Supreme Court already ordered him to be kept on the ballot after the state tried to remove him. That move is odd enough to make anyone suspicious. Now the campaign efforts have to be around the second name to not get confused. Writer: Lucas

🇺🇸 A "miracle" weight loss shot from a Brooklyn bodega turned out to be fragrance filler and BACTERIA CBS News bought retatrutide, an experimental drug Eli Lilly is still testing, from a clinic website, a gym and a corner store without ever talking to a doctor. Lab tests showed the $90 bodega vial had no drug in it at all, just a chemical found in lip balm plus 13 colonies of bacteria, and Lilly says black-market versions have already been tied to two deaths. People are so desperate for the next Ozempic that they're injecting mystery liquid from the same shop that sells lottery tickets… regulators need to shut this market down before the body count grows. 🚨🇮🇷 Iran says seven vessels have been STRUCK and threatens more to come Four ships involved in oil transfers caught fire in the Arabian Gulf after being tracked by Iranian forces. Three additional vessels hit sea mines near the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC is now warning the U.S. that any further provocations will trigger a wider response against American regional bases. 🚨🇺🇸🇷🇺 Two of Trump’s top midterm advisers took Balkan consulting money from a Russia-friendly government... while running his fight for Congress The men behind Trump’s midterm machine, Chris LaCivita and James Blair, were reportedly paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to advise the pro-Moscow government of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska, and Trump’s patience had a limit: “If there’s a conflict, I will terminate them, immediately!” Pile that on top of the infighting and leaks out of this White House, and it starts to look like people already planning their next job. That’s the real midterm threat... a president can’t win a close election with a team that’s half out the door, and if the Republicans lose the House on Nov 3, expect a lot more exits. 🇮🇪Has the Irish government completely lost its mind? They are now telling grandparents NOT to hug their grandchildren without asking for consent first. 🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump says the US is "not negotiating" with Iran and something happens "fairly soon"... "We have a little conflict against Iran. We're doing very well militarily and financially against Iran... I think we're not negotiating. Something one way or the other will happen fairly soon. Most people seem to think it’s after the election, we’re gonna see what happens, but I'm going to say this: what we've done with Iran is amazing." Tehran tells a different story, with its foreign minister saying indirect talks on its seven-day ceasefire plan are still alive. Either way, the calendar says it all... carriers and Marines arrive by late November, and unless Iran stops setting tankers on fire, the first week after Nov 3 is when the “not nice way” begins. 🚨🇺🇸 The Dream and Valkyries jogged off the court during the national anthem for a third straight WNBA Finals game... and the league still hasn't said a word The WNBA's own rulebook says players have to stand and line up in a dignified posture while the anthem plays, but neither the league nor the NBA has responded after both teams walked off three games in a row. Sophie Cunningham was the ONLY Fever star with her hand over her heart in one viral clip this season, even while her own teammates stood beside her without doing the same, and the Dream stayed in the locker room that night too. Seems like she's the only player with any real SPINE in this league. If the league won't enforce its own rulebook during the Finals, fans are going to start wondering what the rules are even for... and change the channel. Source: Fox / Writer: Daniel

🇺🇸 WTF? A Florida lawyer walked into a gun shop and TALKED about shooting ICE agents in the head 😳 Lisa White allegedly said she wanted a firearm for protests, asked if it could penetrate body armor, and said she’d aim for the head if it couldn’t. The shop refused the sale and reported her. HSI later arrested her in Mississippi. She’s been a licensed Florida attorney since 1995. When talk of shooting federal agents reaches a gun shop, it doesn’t stay a private conversation for long. Source: Fox News / Lucas

🚨🇺🇸 The FBI is being asked to review new footage placing the January 6 pipe bomber on the completely wrong side of the Capitol. Cole, arrested in December 2025, is charged with planting pipe bombs near the RNC and DNC before January 6. In an October 21st letter, Representative Thomas Massie told Kash Patel that the footage allegedly shows a man matching Cole on the northwest side while the suspect was placing devices on the southeast side. He wants the FBI to release Cole if it checks out, and investigate whether others were involved. If that holds up, serious questions remain 😬 Source: Newsweek, @RepThomasMassie / Lucas

🚨🇺🇸 The Air Force told Congress it needs 1,509 combat-ready fighters by 2035 and can't currently meet the 1,145 floor lawmakers already set The service's own report says it wants to change how jets are counted so backup and attrition aircraft show up in the total, because the Iran war proved those get flown too. Eighty-one airframes have been lost or damaged since February, the F-35 is behind on upgrades, Boeing can't deliver F-15EXs on schedule, and the FY27 plan leans on a reconciliation bill that's in doubt for 14 of its F-35s. Add it to the pile: Patriots and THAADs not back to prewar stocks until 2030, zero THAAD deliveries this fiscal year, Gulf bases the Pentagon isn't sure it will rebuild, and a Navy with one carrier on station. The Air Force's top planner says the number isn't about Iran. The shortfall it describes is EXACTLY what the war exposed. Source: Breaking Defense / CongressGov / Writer: Daniel

🇾🇪🇸🇦 Yemen's Saudi-backed government declares tribal gatherings in Houthi territory "legitimate military targets" and tells civilians to stay home The Defence Ministry's case is that the Houthis use tribal rallies and cultural events to recruit children and young men for the front, so the rallies themselves are now on the strike list. The warning comes with Saudi jets already hitting Saada's phone network and Ras Isa's fuel line. A tribal gathering in northern Yemen is a few hundred people, their elders and their kids. Targeting them is how a counterinsurgency ends up bombing the people it needs to win over, and the Houthis have run on exactly that grievance for twenty years. Source: Al Jazeera / Writer: Daniel

🇮🇱 Israel just DETAINED a U.S. congressional nominee Israeli forces rounded up Brad Lander in the West Bank alongside rabbis, foreign activists, and Palestinian farmers during an olive harvest. The scale of the sweep is unbelievable. Troops detained over 40 foreign activists and dozens of Israeli citizens. This is a terrifying new pattern. 🚨🇺🇸 Texas just shattered its early-voting records on day one... the Senate race Republicans haven't lost since 1994 is a toss-up Harris County beat its old midterm opening-day mark by 41,000 votes, Dallas topped even its 2020 presidential record, and Republican Collin County jumped 15,000 over 2022. Both parties showed up. Talarico leads Paxton 48-46 in the Hobby School poll and 47-45 in Marist, after raising $64 million last quarter to Paxton's $18 million. So Texas could actually go blue… two years after Trump carried it by 14 points. Nobody writing a 2026 preview in January had this on the board, and if Talarico pulls it off, Democrats suddenly have a real road to the Senate and every assumption about the electoral map goes straight in the trash. 🇮🇱 🇮🇷 🇺🇸 The heavy Israeli fighter jet activity may not be another rehearsal this time... it could be the real thing. With the US Navy now holding far south in the Arabian Sea, Anthony Aguilar says the signs to watch are refueling tankers circling in fixed loops over the Persian Gulf near Kuwait and Iran’s air defense radars starting to light up: “This may not be another rehearsal. This could be the thing that they were rehearsing.” If those tankers start circling and the radars light up, the drills are over.

🚨🇺🇸 “Did you marry your brother?” should be the easiest question in politics... and Ilhan Omar somehow made it harder😅 Trump wasn't buying her response: “'Not to my knowledge'... that’s not a good answer. That’s an answer a lot of us assume.” With federal prosecutors reportedly holding her DNA, the country may soon get a much clearer answer than “not to my knowledge”… but when a simple “no, he’s not my brother” was right there and she didn’t say it, tells us everything we need to know. 🚨🇺🇸 Terrifying details emerging from the Oregon school shooting. Becky Drury, a teacher heard the gunfire and rushed to slam her classroom door shut. But the gunman was already there and shot her POINT BLANK. Her hand was nearly severed. She knew she was too badly injured to fight back or protect anyone else: “So, I did the only thing I could do, which was to pretend to be dead in the hope he would not shoot me again.” Three children, ages 5, 8 and 11, and a 25-year-old teacher were killed 💔 The motive remains unclear. 🇺🇸🇮🇷 Iran's shadow tanker fleet is empty: the 90 million barrels it parked off Malaysia are gone and the blockade has cost Tehran $25 billion The floating reserve was the regime's bank account, crude ferried to Southeast Asia and sold to Chinese refiners two months at a time. Kpler says it hit zero in mid-October, China is buying from Brazil and West Africa instead, and the rial has lost a third against the dollar since July. Oil is 30 to 40% of Iran's budget. 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 🇮🇷 Israel’s jet runs to Iran’s border could be rehearsals for air cover over a US backed Kurdish push into Iran. Anthony Aguilar admits he has no sources confirming it, but reading who’s deployed in the open, he points to CIA paramilitary officers and special forces still working in Iraq long after the official pullout: “We may have left with what you would consider conventional forces on the ground, but we have maintained special operations, clandestine operations.” Iran’s fresh drone strikes on Kurdish groups in Iraq suggest Tehran is already reading the map the same way.

🇺🇸 INSANE! El-Sayed wants to go back to the pre-9/11 system that let the hijackers in He says the U.S. doesn’t need ICE and can return to the old INS days when America was “a lot safer and more secure.” 9/11 happened under INS. That’s the reason Congress created ICE and the Department of Homeland Security in the first place. Several of the attackers were already in the immigration system the old agency was supposed to track. Writer: Lucas t.co/6IAKYzXi2d

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 One reported strike on one Iranian missile site makes no sense as an opening move... which is why the embassy evacuations matter more than the explosion Iran hits a ship a day, so taking out a single launcher changes nothing and invites the disproportionate response Tehran has promised. Matthew suspects someone wanted Iran to fire back, and he doesn't think it was Washington. Matthew Hoh, former Marine and State Department officer, says the departure orders are the better signal: "I think you got a better than 50% odds that when the State Department evacuates people, something is going to happen." Iran skips Israel unless Israel strikes first and goes hunting the US fleet and the Gulf hosts instead. If Israel does join, both its refineries and its remaining ports go dark, and that is a price Netanyahu can run on. @WeTheBrandon @MatthewPHoh

🚨🇺🇸 Trump says the Vivek ad featuring Amy Acton's estranged mother "doesn't have anything to do with Vivek" “It’s a very unusual situation to have a mother hate a daughter that much, but I don’t think that has anything to do with Vivek.” For the record, Vivek's campaign produced it and is spending $4 million to air it. Somebody let Trump walk onto this PR landmine completely unbriefed, two weeks before the midterms and on the most radioactive ad of the whole cycle. Someone on his team should be looking for a new job. With Acton up seven and Republicans across Ohio begging Vivek to pull it, the smart move was as much distance from this mess as possible.
