🇲🇦🇮🇱 Morocco is reportedly closing a deal for Israel's David's Sling, a 300km missile shield that would need Trump's sign-off and would sit across the water from Ceuta and Melilla
Rabat already runs Israeli Barak MX and Spyder batteries, is shopping for 400km LORA ballistic missiles, and has bought $2 billion in Israeli arms since the Abraham Accords.
David’s Sling is a Raytheon co-production, so the sale runs through Washington, where Morocco signed a ten-year defense roadmap.
Three months ago thousands of migrants poured into Ceuta in two days, at least 18 drowned, Spain sent in the army and Moroccan police stood by until it was over, the same lever Rabat pulled in 2021 to get its way on Western Sahara.
Nobody has proven Morocco opened the gate, but Madrid acted like it believed it.
A kingdom that can flood the border on command and shoot down what flies over it has two pressure points on Spain, and NATO has never said Article 5 covers either enclave.

@MarioNawfal The Spanish are descendants of the Moors; it's a family matter. t.co/qArW2h1aZw
