🇺🇸🇷🇺 Putin’s envoy Kirill Dmitriev on his belief that Trump’s diesel deal signals a recognition of the necessity of closer trade relations with Russia: "More and more Americans, including within the administration, understand that sanctions harm the United States itself. I can confirm today's news that the U.S. Treasury Department asked the Russian Direct Investment Fund to help with the diesel deal, including processing payments and resolving purely tactical issues related to the deal. The Russian Direct Investment Fund will be involved specifically at the request of the U.S. Treasury Department." t.co/JXAE1MRqQs

🇺🇸🇷🇺 Putin’s envoy Kirill Dmitriev on Trump establishing closer trade relations with Russia: "There is a whole range of economic and investment projects being discussed with the American side that will be implemented. The diesel deal is one of these projects, and it is extremely important not only for the United States but for the entire world." Writer: Mhedi t.co/u2vITZdyRh

🇺🇸 JD Vance on Trump's voter base: "All of these voters who were so in love with Trump and ultimately made Trump president through two or three election cycles, fundamentally, they are Trump voters. They're not ideological conservatives. They're people who are very pragmatic. And I think one of the things they were attracted to with Donald Trump is he said a very pragmatic thing, which is: America has been losing for too long. We want to get America winning again." 🇯🇵🇨🇳 Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi says she intends to visit China next month for the APEC leaders' summit, provided parliament approves her attendance. The November 18–19 summit in Shenzhen could provide an opportunity for Takaichi to meet Xi as relations between Tokyo and Beijing remain strained. Tensions escalated nearly a year ago after Takaichi suggested that a Chinese attack on Taiwan could justify Japanese military intervention, triggering a sharp backlash from Beijing. For the time being, it remains unclear whether Xi would agree to meet her during the summit. The announcement comes during a difficult week domestically for Takaichi, following the resignation of Agriculture Minister Kazuo Yana over allegations of electoral misconduct. 🇺🇸 JD Vance on Abdul El-Sayed: "When Tucker says, for example, that Abdul El-Sayed is the America First candidate, what I'd say to Tucker, again, I've said this to him privately and I'll say it publicly: Abdul El-Sayed is a guy who you agree with about the Iran war, and I understand that. But wait a second. This is a guy who says that the Iran conflict is a problem because it violates international law. How is that America First?" Writer: Mhedi t.co/pPqOQ1zD9g

🇺🇸 JD Vance on the America that Trump inherited: "The country was not broken in two years. As much as I would like to blame Biden for everything, the reality is that we had a bipartisan 40-year consensus of shipping American jobs overseas and underinvesting in the American worker." Writer: Mhedi t.co/UBReusLUjQ

🇺🇸 JD compares Trump to dictators: "So much of the power in our government does flow from the president of the United States. It's actually funny. Sometimes you'll interact with leaders from the PRC or from Russia, or these places that I think the American people think of as dictatorships. And the reality is that those systems, while yes, they're dictatorial in terms of electoral power, they don't have real elections, man, they are so bureaucratic. Decisions get made very slowly in some of these countries. The president just has a lot of authority." Did he just say that Trump's a better dictator than Putin and Xi?!?! Curaçao, a Caribbean island off Venezuela's coast, just got a little less dependent on what happens beneath the ocean. Starlink is now live, bringing high-speed satellite internet to the island alongside its traditional undersea cable connections. For people in harder-to-reach areas, that means more options for working, studying and running businesses online. If an undersea cable runs into trouble, there's another way to stay connected. Impressive what a bunch of satellites flying overhead can do for one little island. @Starlink @SpaceX / Writer: Annette, Designer: Janné

Legal fine print is about to lose its biggest weapon: intimidation. And it's about time. Grok Bot can now go through contracts, leases, and legal documents, flagging hidden fees, tricky clauses, and details you might have missed. It can even help draft a dispute letter or suggest better contract terms. People sign agreements without fully understanding what they're agreeing to, because making sense of all that legal jargon is one hell of a schlep. Grok Bot actually enjoys digging through all that. @Grok @Bot @spacexai / Writer: Annette, Designer: Janné

🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia’s royal family may not survive this war as the kingdom’s founding deal with its clerics starts to crack. Lawrence Wilkerson says the kingdom is running short on money and losing allies, while the centuries old pact between the House of Saud and the Wahhabi religious establishment comes apart in real time: “I think they’re finished. I think the Royals are finished.” If the royals and the clerics split for good, who’s left to hold Saudi Arabia together?
