🇮🇷🇧🇭🇰🇼 Col. Douglas Macgregor thinks a future Iran war could move onto Gulf soil much faster than most people expect.
He argues that if Tehran chose to escalate beyond missile strikes, small Gulf states like Bahrain or Kuwait could be far more vulnerable to a limited Iranian ground incursion than their alliances suggest.
“I’m not saying they’ll do it, but I’m telling you they can.”
Macgregor’s point is that Iran wouldn’t need a massive invasion force.
A relatively small number of professional troops, backed by missiles, air defenses and potentially allied militias from Iraq, could create a crisis very quickly.
That would change the war completely.
The Gulf would no longer just be hosting American bases and absorbing missile attacks.
It could become an actual battlefield.
