🇩🇪🇷🇺 AfD lawmaker Maximilian Krah says Germany has every reason to trust Russia with its energy.
He points all the way back to the Cold War:
“We began the Russian gas deal in 1972. It was during Soviet times, and the Soviets delivered.”
To him, a partner that held up through the Soviet era is hard to argue with:
“It’s hard to say it’s a bad choice.”
The Soviets may have delivered, but in 2022, Russia cut off Germany’s gas right when it needed it most. Russia blamed sanctions and broken parts. Germany didn’t buy it.
