State buyers grabbed 8-10 shiploads, somewhere around 520,000-650,000 tons, set to sail from December. And farmers had been waiting weeks for it, after China went quiet during its big holiday. With this order, China has now bought about 14 million tons this season, more than halfway to the 25 million tons the White House promised. Still, it’s only state buyers doing the shopping.
