🇮🇱 ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt was interviewed in Israel and said he is pushing top AI companies to COMBAT ANSTISEMITISM. "We've been working with the Frontier Labs: OpenAI, Anthropic, Alphabet, the company that runs Gemini, Google, Meta, who runs Muse, and others, X, who run Grok… We've run the tests and seen where anti-Semitism shows up and helped them develop strategies to tackle it right in the source code." 🚨🇺🇸 Trump administration is pumping the brakes on the execution broadcast. It seems that cooler heads prevailed, and now officials are walking back the idea of live-streaming the execution of ex-Army major Nidal Hasan by firing squad. A lot of people are split… some think it’s good to show people the price for being a treasonous terrorist. Some think it’s wildly inappropriate. Would it be good, bad, or have any effects at all? All we know for sure is that the date is set for December 3! Source: CBS News / Writer: Jamie

🇮🇶🇸🇾🇮🇱 Israeli jets are SURGING over Syria and Iraq as Netanyahu and Trump reportedly discuss another Iran strike. Local reports and Iraqi officials have noted unusual Israeli Air Force flights, while Israeli media describe the activity as readiness drills rather than imminent strikes on Lebanon. Channel 12 reported that Netanyahu raised a joint attack on Iran with Trump ahead of Israel’s October 27th election and the U.S. midterms on November 3rd. The White House denied discussing a renewed war, and Trump said he wouldn’t strike Iran before the election. Iran has been running its own missile and air-defense drills, including recent ballistic launches, while Western assessments say it still has the factories to rebuild stocks. Both sides are moving aircraft and testing systems in the same window, the same pattern that showed up before the last round. Source: Channel 12, JFeed / Writer: Lucas

🇺🇸 🇮🇷 US bombers could be hitting Iran’s nuclear and missile sites once the midterms are over... Ian Bremmer says the blockade choking Iran's oil exports is why Tehran keeps hitting ships in the strait, and he sees a few days of US bomber strikes after the midterms as more likely now. The worry is Iran's answer: "Might they engage in strikes again against broader Gulf infrastructure, which is the biggest danger?" Is a few days of bombing worth giving Tehran a reason to go after Gulf energy again? @ianbremmer

🇺🇸 Katie Zacharia’s first briefing had a rough start, and people are already comparing her to the last Democratic press secretary who struggled at the podium At the time, her briefings drew widespread criticism for vague responses and heavy reliance on pre-written points, even from reporters covering the Biden White House. That bar was already low compared to Karoline Leavitt, who handled the room without notes, pushed back hard, and left with praise from people who covered her for being sharp and in the loop. Whether Zacharia tightens that gap or the old standard keeps defining the job is still playing out. Writer: Lucas t.co/KJyFBpLO8z

🇾🇪🇸🇦 The Houthis now put the price of peace at a full Saudi withdrawal from Yemen, with three Saudi provinces on the list if Riyadh keeps bombing... Hussein al-Bukhaiti, a Yemeni commentator close to the Houthis, says the old demand was simple, implement the 2023 roadmap and lift the blockade, but the Saudi strike on Sanaa airport in July changed the ask to total withdrawal plus compensation for everything destroyed since 2015. Najran, Jizan and Asir go on the target list if the bombing continues, and Yemen would treat them as its own: "If Yemen at one point will enter those areas, we will not withdraw." He counts 159 Saudi strikes on Sanaa airport against 3 Houthi strikes on Riyadh, and says the 2034 World Cup is finished if the war goes on. Every week Riyadh waits, the bill for ending this climbs, and nobody's army is coming to bring it down. @HussainBukhaiti @WeTheBrandon

🇺🇸 The Squad Democrat group in Congress introduces a bill to ABOLISH ICE, Border Patrol, and the entire Department of Homeland Security in one shot. Rep. Delia Ramirez’s Reimagining Safety Act would replace DHS with a new Department of Community Safety. Airport security and disaster response would remain, while border wall funding would end and Guantánamo would close. Rashida Tlaib is an original cosponsor. The bill follows the search of Ilhan Omar’s DC home and an ICE shooting in New York, both cited by Ramirez as reasons to dismantle the department. Calls to abolish ICE have been around for years, but turning a raid over one lawmaker’s childhood paperwork into the reason to scrap the whole border system is a new level. 🇸🇦 🇹🇷 🇵🇰 🇾🇪 A "Muslim NATO" is forming around Saudi money after Houthi missiles killed 13 people and injured over 300, including an American Ian Bremmer says Trump won't send Americans while the Houthis leave US ships alone, so he's working Erdogan for Turkish drones and airstrikes, and Saudi checks could pull Pakistan in: "We are seeing the beginnings of the creation of a Muslim NATO, anchored on Riyadh, in a sense funded by Riyadh." Washington guarded the Gulf for eight decades, and the Saudis are now interviewing replacements. @ianbremmer

🚨🇺🇸 Trump is backing away from livestreaming the Fort Hood killer's firing squad execution after Republicans called it jihadist behavior Administration officials told CBS News they are now leaning against broadcasting Nidal Hasan's Dec. 3 execution, and Trump has not made a final call. Hegseth announced the livestream last Thursday and Trump said Friday he "absolutely" approved it, but by the weekend he was telling reporters the decision was his alone. The pushback came from his own side. Mike Johnson, Thom Tillis and John Curtis objected, Rep. Austin Scott wrote that "livestreaming executions is what jihadists do," and Vance said he wouldn't watch. One official told Axios he'd bet Trump never authorizes it. Hasan still dies on Dec. 3 unless a federal court steps in. The real fight was whether America copies Iran and Afghanistan, the only countries that staged public executions last year, and it looks like the answer is no. 🇸🇦 🇾🇪 Houthi missiles have shut Riyadh's main airport and hit Aramco's headquarters, and MBS can't buy his way out this time. Riyadh once sent money that reached Houthi fighters, but Ian Bremmer says any deal now would show far too much weakness. The kingdom needs land back and missile sites torn up: "This war almost certainly gets worse before it gets better." Saudi Arabia hasn't pushed the Houthis out of Sanaa in a decade, and now it has to with its own capital under fire. @ianbremmer

🔮 CAN AI PREDICT THE FUTURE?? Palantir CEO Alex Karp said AI could foresee what people think and do in their everyday lives. By tracking what people buy, what they post online, where they go, and more, AI could learn to anticipate their next move. 🇺🇸🇪🇺🇷🇺 Trump’s diesel deal with Putin OPENS A SPLIT WITH EUROPE as prices keep climbing. U.S. diesel futures jumped 5% Tuesday despite Trump lifting sanctions to allow Russian fuel shipments. The first batch is just 300,000 tons, less than a day of U.S. demand. Diesel prices are already up 70% since the Iran war began. Washington is pressing Europe to tap its own reserves or face export limits, while the EU rejects the Russia deal and sticks to sanctions. Kaja Kallas called it extra money for the war, as European leaders push tougher measures. The volumes are small, but the political stakes are bigger. Trump wants to ease the fuel squeeze at home while forcing Europe to choose between his approach and standing firm against Moscow. Source: NBC News, Politico, Reuters / Writer: Lucas

🇺🇸 One theory says letting the Middle East burn would make America the new OPEC, but US refineries can't even run American oil. The idea, floated by some around Trump, is that wrecked refineries abroad would force the world to depend on North American energy for good, and it falls apart for a simple reason: "We don't even refine the stuff we drill here in North America." America ships out its light, sweet shale and imports the heavy, sour crude its refineries were built for, so becoming the world's gas station means rebuilding the gas station first. @WeTheBrandon

A full war against Iran like March/April is unlikely, but some form of limited strikes by the U.S. and/or Israel are probable And Iran knows this

🇫🇷 REALLY?! What kind of brainrot makes someone argue that a BLOWTORCH TO THE FACE “isn’t that bad”? During student protests in France, a 15-year-old allegedly used a homemade flamethrower on a woman in Marseille who tried to stop vandalism. She suffered first-degree burns, and the guy was arrested. Now this woman is lighting her own face on fire to claim the incident was exaggerated to smear immigrants. She screams and stumbles, yet somehow thinks this proves her point. It’s CRAZY how far people will go to excuse violence when the attacker fits their narrative. Writer: Lucas t.co/BPpz8ht0wM

🇾🇪 🇸🇦 A major red line just fell in Yemen: the Houthis are telling civilians to evacuate Aramco's headquarters, its Riyadh refinery and King Khalid International Airport. The warning came hours after a Saudi strike on Sana'a's main fuel hub, the depot that keeps generators, transport and basic services running across Houthi territory, even though the Houthis had warned it was off limits: "Well, this red line has been crossed in Yemen." The Houthis still haven't touched Saudi Arabia's desalination plants... so how long do they keep that card in their back pocket? @WeTheBrandon

🇾🇪 People in Southern Yemen streets are MARCHING for the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council after its leader called for mass mobilization. Aidaros al-Zubaidi, head of the group that wants an independent South Yemen, issued his first public statement in months. Protests have begun, with footage from al-Mukalla showing crowds responding. The council lost most of its territorial control earlier this year after Saudi-backed forces pushed them back. Now al-Zubaidi is rallying supporters ahead of a major protest planned for the 14th. 🇬🇧🇮🇷🇺🇸 MI5 chief says Iran is now going after military sites in Britain and the Fairford plot was "not unique" Ken McCallum laid it out at MI5 headquarters on Tuesday: Tehran spent years hunting dissidents and torching Jewish sites through proxies, and this year moved up to "harder targets, like military sites." On RAF Fairford: "There have been other examples, not just in the U.K. but around the world." That base launched B-52s against Iran, and police found three vans loaded with gasoline, no explosives. Seven men are out on bail, Tehran denies everything, and the US has already pulled its bombers out. That last part is the win Iran wanted. A few vans and some gas chased American heavy bombers off British soil, which tells every other NATO host what cheap pressure can buy. Source: Associated Press / Writer: Daniel

A kid fell into a gorilla enclosure in ’86, and the silverback just stood over him, petted his back, and kept the rest of the troop away till help showed up. 🇺🇸 Ilhan Omar’s husband was seen at their DC home the day after federal agents raided it in an immigration fraud probe. Tim Mynett was filmed walking the dog and entering the house Tuesday. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro is now looking at the disclosures. The raid itself was over childhood immigration paperwork, but the numbers on his businesses moved that hard right as the scrutiny got louder. No charges have been filed, and the investigation remains open, but the timing is brutal. One year the companies look like they’re worth millions, the next they’re worth nothing, and nobody outside the filings has a clear picture of where the money actually went. 🇺🇸 🇾🇪 🇹🇷 Trump says the Houthis are "behaving very badly" and hints they'll pay after the midterms as Taiz is about to fall. He also told reporters he might ask Erdogan to join the response, calling him a great friend who'll do whatever he asks, and a US strike on the Houthis now looks closer than ever: "I find any sort of military campaign against the Houthis highly probable and likely to involve the Americans." The Houthis have three weeks until November 3, and every mile they take before then raises the price of pushing them back. @WeTheBrandon

🇸🇦🇾🇪 Houthis reportedly hit Aramco’s headquarters after Riyadh bombed their oil facility in Sanaa The Houthis had warned the kingdom that hitting their oil facility would put Aramco’s Dhahran headquarters on the target list, and the Saudis reportedly struck anyway. Ian Bremmer of Eurasia Group says the days of quietly paying off the Houthis are over, since MBS can’t look this weak with his main airport shut and Aramco taking direct hits: “This war almost certainly gets worse before it gets better.” Trump is playing go-between with Ankara, whose drones and strike jets could join the fight, while Saudi checks could pull Pakistan in... the first real test of a Muslim NATO built without Washington at the center. @ianbremmer

🇻🇦🇺🇸 Pope Leo XIV has lung cancer, and surgeons just removed part of his right lung The Vatican confirmed Tuesday that the "small, localized nodule" the 71-year-old American pope disclosed on Sunday turned out to be adenocarcinoma, the most common form of lung cancer. Doctors at Rome's Gemelli Hospital took out the lower lobe of his right lung in a 90-minute operation they called successful and free of complications. Leo walked into the hospital on his own, waved to the crowd outside, and has no known history of health problems. He has about a week in the hospital ahead of him and a major South America trip scheduled for early November. Catching it early is good news, but anything requiring his signature now waits, and the Vatican has no rulebook for a pope who can't work. Source: Associated Press / Writer: Daniel
