Doctors at Rome's Gemelli Hospital took out the lower lobe of his right lung in a 90-minute operation they called successful and free of complications. Leo walked into the hospital on his own, waved to the crowd outside, and has no known history of health problems. He has about a week in the hospital ahead of him and a major South America trip scheduled for early November. His answer was more alarming than I expected. Larry believes MBS could lose power before the end of the year. His argument isn't simply about missiles hitting oil facilities. It's about what happens when a leader has spent years concentrating nearly every important lever of power in his own hands. The Saudi royal family once distributed authority among different branches. MBS dismantled much of that arrangement, making himself indispensable but also creating a single point of failure. Now Saudi infrastructure is under sustained attack, air defenses are reportedly stretched thin, and Larry believes the damage to the kingdom's energy industry could take years to repair. What interested me was his disagreement with reports that Iran might launch ground incursions into Gulf countries if America restarts the war. Larry considers that unlikely. And that's the uncomfortable position Saudi Arabia finds itself in. The plan comes in 2 steps, first up to 100 launches a year around the clock, then the full 456. It’s also asking for 912 landings, since both the booster and the ship could come back to Texas, and Starship is designed to be reused. The FAA will study the environmental impact and hold public meetings before signing off. And Elon is thinking even bigger, with plans for a Starship site in Louisiana worth up to $100 billion and a long-term goal of launching more than once an hour.
