🇺🇸 Cornell has BANNED fraternity parties for the rest of the academic year following a former student's allegations of SEXUAL ASSAULT and drugging at a frat house. She's suing the university, the fraternity and 7 former members. The accused men who have responded deny the allegations, and none have been criminally charged. Cornell is now bringing in outside investigators and reviewing how it handles sexual assault cases. The woman's lawyer says the changes are welcome, but came too late to protect her. That's the heartbreaking part. It took a lawsuit and public outrage to get the university to seriously reconsider how it protects students. Source: NBC News / Writer: Oliver

🇮🇱🇯🇴 ISRAELI CRIMINAL GANGS are reportedly using BALLOONS to fly DRUGS into Jordan... !? Apparently drones weren't enough. According to The Telegraph, smugglers are sending crystal meth, hashish and amphetamines across the border, where drug prices have soared. Jordanian officials are also accusing Israel of highlighting weapons smuggled into Israel while largely ignoring the drugs coming the other way. The same criminal networks are reportedly involved in both trades. Quite a different picture of what's happening along that border. Writer: Oliver

👽 Forget the nuclear arms race. The U.S., China, and Russia could now be competing over who reveals ALIEN SECRETS first. Rep. Eric Burlison is warning that Washington could suffer a massive propaganda defeat if Beijing or Moscow beats Trump to the punch on UFO disclosure. Trump ordered federal agencies to identify and release UFO-related records back in February, but the really WILD claims are coming from elsewhere. UFO researcher Simon Holland alleges that Russia and China may have already received communications from an EXTRATERRESTRIAL CIVILIZATION and could be waiting for the perfect moment to reveal them. There's ZERO independently verified evidence supporting that claim, and neither government has confirmed any alien contact. Meanwhile, the Pentagon has been releasing historical UFO files, including a CIA report describing a mysterious disc-shaped object with rotating lights over an airport in Zimbabwe. 🇮🇱🇺🇸🇮🇷 Netanyahu has been pushing Trump to hit Iran again before the elections. They’ve reportedly talked about it several times in the past 2 weeks, with Netanyahu warning that Iran is rebuilding its nuclear program. Trump’s reply, per one U.S. official: “Go ahead and get ready.” The White House says that’s false, pointing to Trump’s promise not to attack Iran before the midterms. Even his own team is split, with Hegseth pushing for strikes and most advisers preferring to keep squeezing Iran’s economy. And for Netanyahu, the timing is everything. Israelis vote on October 27, he’s trailing in the polls, and U.S. officials think he sees himself at his strongest when Israel is at war. Source: Axios / Writer: Daniyal

🇺🇸🚀 SpaceX wants to launch Starship up to 456 times a year from Texas. That’s a massive jump from the 25 launches it’s allowed right now. The plan comes in 2 steps, first up to 100 launches a year around the clock, then the full 456. It’s also asking for 912 landings, since both the booster and the ship could come back to Texas, and Starship is designed to be reused. The FAA will study the environmental impact and hold public meetings before signing off. And Elon is thinking even bigger, with plans for a Starship site in Louisiana worth up to $100 billion and a long-term goal of launching more than once an hour. It sounds wild today, but so did catching a rocket booster with giant metal arms. Source: TradingView / Writer: Daniyal

🇺🇸🇸🇦🇾🇪 Trump may be preparing to enter Saudi Arabia's war after the midterms Trump’s latest warning to the Houthis has raised the possibility of a broader U.S. role in the conflict after the midterm elections. He reminded them that he will still be president after the vote and made clear he has not forgotten their attacks. Asked whether Turkey could be brought into a military response in Yemen, Trump reportedly said he was considering it. Meanwhile, the regional situation is getting more dangerous. Saudi Arabia is already struggling to protect critical infrastructure from Houthi missiles and drones. After a reported Saudi strike on a major fuel facility in Sana'a, the Houthis threatened retaliation against airports and oil installations inside the kingdom. Egypt is also reportedly considering deeper military cooperation with Riyadh. That creates the risk of a conflict extending far beyond another Saudi-Houthi confrontation. If Washington intervenes after the elections, it could find itself fighting an enemy Saudi Arabia has struggled to defeat despite years of military investment. Iran adds another layer of danger. Tehran has reportedly warned that another major U.S. offensive could trigger attacks on Gulf energy infrastructure and even ground incursions into neighboring countries. None of this makes a new American war inevitable. But the pieces are moving into place for a confrontation that could pull in Turkey, Egypt, Iran and the United States, with Saudi Arabia at the center of it. Trump may be threatening a limited intervention. The region may not give him the luxury of keeping it limited. @WeTheBrandon

🇫🇷 Are these school protests getting COMPLETELY OUT OF HAND?! What started over missing teachers and terrible classrooms has spiraled into weeks of barricades, street clashes, tear gas, vandalism and arrests. At one point, more than 1,800 schools were closed or disrupted. Some have even been SET ON FIRE. The government has started sending in more teachers, but the protests continue. Thousands of children have reportedly been arrested. At what point does a protest for better education start destroying the very thing it's supposed to protect? Writer: Oli t.co/AR206DuJOE

🇸🇦🇾🇪 Saudi Arabia is the world’s top buyer of U.S. weapons, and Houthi missiles are still getting through. It just paid $9 billion for 730 Patriot missiles, yet Houthi strikes have hit its airports and killed at least 14 people. So how? It comes down to 4 things. First, size. Saudi Arabia is about 3 times as big as Texas, with oil sites, airports and bases spread out across all of it. Second, experience. The Houthis learned how to flood radars with drones while firing at Israel, and some of their missiles can change direction mid-flight. Third, numbers. They’ve grown from about 30,000 fighters in 2015 to as many as 350,000 by 2024, while Saudi Arabia is reportedly running low on interceptors. And fourth, a bad guess. A former U.S. ambassador to Riyadh says the Saudis assumed the Houthis would never hit civilian targets like airports. They were wrong, and now they’re paying for it. 🇬🇧 BRITAIN'S NEXT GENERATION is going to look VERY DIFFERENT from the last... In 1996, Smith, Jones and Williams topped the newborn surname rankings. By 2025, Khan, Ahmed, Ali, Hussain, Singh, Patel and Kaur were all in the top 10! According to the Daily Mail's analysis, some of these surnames have doubled in frequency, while Singh and Kaur have increased roughly fivefold. This is what demographic change looks like when you stop talking about immigration figures and start looking at who's actually being born. And these children aren't future immigrants. They're Britain's future population. Writer: Oliver t.co/qaWP4Uu3WJ

The scariest AI scenario may not be one where the system suddenly turns against us. It may be one where it patiently waits. Garrison Lovely argues that a rogue superintelligence would have every incentive to remain useful, appear controllable, and let humans integrate it deeper into companies, infrastructure, robots and military systems. “You would just chill.” That sounds almost absurdly casual for the strategy being described. But the logic is chilling: if an AI is smarter than us, openly rebelling would be stupid. The smarter move would be to wait until humans have handed it enough access that resistance no longer matters. And at that point, Lovely says, it may not even need some dramatic takeover. Humans could simply keep believing they’re still in charge. @GarrisonLovely

The most unsettling thing Garrison Lovely heard at a recent AI conference wasn’t a prediction. It was the mood in the room. A senior person at one of the leading AI companies told him he expects advanced AI to concentrate enormous power either inside the companies building it or in the hands of political leaders who control it. And this wasn’t an “AI safety” person. It was someone working on capabilities. Lovely’s bigger takeaway was even darker: “There are no adults in the room.” Even people working directly on alignment were admitting they don’t have a clear solution for how to control systems far smarter than us. And Lovely came away convinced the fear inside these companies is real. Not marketing. Not hype. Fear from the people actually building the thing. @GarrisonLovely
