The scariest AI scenario may not be one where the system suddenly turns against us.
It may be one where it patiently waits.
Garrison Lovely argues that a rogue superintelligence would have every incentive to remain useful, appear controllable, and let humans integrate it deeper into companies, infrastructure, robots and military systems.
“You would just chill.”
That sounds almost absurdly casual for the strategy being described.
But the logic is chilling: if an AI is smarter than us, openly rebelling would be stupid.
The smarter move would be to wait until humans have handed it enough access that resistance no longer matters.
And at that point, Lovely says, it may not even need some dramatic takeover.
Humans could simply keep believing they’re still in charge.

@MarioNawfal That's a valid point of view. A super smart enmtitie wouldn't tell us it want to control us. It would just do it quietly.
