With the highest pedantic precision you insist that the precise figure Smotrich mentioned, 1.8 million Palestinians, must mean he regards the total remaining civilian population in Gaza as 1.8 million. That, in turn, must somehow prove the actual death toll far exceeds official counts. In the same breath you dismiss every other detail he offered as lies, rubbish, inflammatory rhetoric, or hyperbole. You extract solely the isolated fragments that let you claim that the Jew is incriminating himself. You do this while fully aware of the precise words Bezalel Smotrich used and the clear meaning he intended. Yet you deliberately ripped two single terms from an extended, detailed and coherent discussion. One is the figure 1.8, which you weaponized into a supposed admission of genocide, as if elevated civilian casualties automatically equal genocide. The other is the term Nazis, which you deceitfully claim he applied to that same population in order to dehumanize Gazans and seek their wholesale elimination. You know full well that Smotrich stated without ambiguity that his reference to wiping out Gaza concerned the destruction of Gaza as an organized terrorist entity. You also know full well that he specified the roughly 1.8 million Gazans in question resemble Nazis in one particular and limited respect: they have been systematically indoctrinated to desire and to seek to act upon that desire, exactly as the German Nazis desired and sought the rape, burning to death, mass murder, enslavement, and torture to death of innocent Jewish civilians of every age and condition, including women, infants, children, the elderly and the disabled. He did not propose, imply, or suggest that these people must themselves be subjected to genocide. He also did not claim that only 1.8 million civilians remain in Gaza. He might have used that estimated figure because he does not accept the higher counts of 2.1 or 2.3 million. More probably he used that figure because he did not want to include all Gazan civilians in the charge. There is zero indication that he maintains the war started at 2.3 million souls and is now down to 1.8 million. That reading is a fabrication of your own, saturated in hostility toward Jews. Nevertheless, it is fair to observe that the numerical claim of 1.8 million is hyperbolic and overstates the share of the Gazan population that actively desires the torture and death of every Jew and would act on that desire at the first opportunity. The exaggeration, however, is confined to the precise percentage. It does not distort the central reality. The description corresponds with striking accuracy to a very large portion of Gaza’s population. Whether that portion constitutes a majority, approaches 1.8 million, or stands nearer to 1.2 million remains a secondary dispute over scale. The underlying fact itself is not in doubt and is confirmed by the available evidence. Anyone who listens to the entire exchange understands that Smotrich was identifying the dehumanization of Jews and the widespread desire among Gazans to kill them, and was insisting that this threat cannot be permitted to materialize. Questions of voluntary emigration or deradicalization belong to a separate discussion. Nothing in his remarks advocated the eradication of Gazans, dehumanized them, or gestured toward any crime against humanity. Those charges are inventions of your own, advanced with calculated distortion and without any foundation in what was actually said.

Another proof of Mario’s selective amnesia: the exact University of Granada DNA study he cites (22-year analysis by José Antonio Lorente) found Columbus’s partial DNA and his son Hernando’s Y-chromosome + mtDNA “compatible with Jewish ancestry,” placing him as a Sephardic Jew from the western Mediterranean (likely Spanish Mediterranean coast/Valencia area under the Crown of Aragon), not Genoa. He was a Sephardi Jew who almost certainly hid it amid the 1492 expulsion. Funny how that part vanished from the summary. Short description of the DNA results: In October 2024, University of Granada forensic researchers (led by José Antonio Lorente), after ~22 years of work on remains in Seville Cathedral, announced in the RTVE documentary Colón ADN: Su verdadero origen that DNA from Columbus (partial) and especially his son Hernando showed traits in the Y-chromosome and mitochondrial DNA “compatible with Jewish origin.” Combined with historical context (large Sephardic communities in medieval Spain vs. almost none in Genoa), they concluded he was most likely a Sephardic Jew from the western Mediterranean / Iberian Peninsula (eastern Spain/Crown of Aragon territories), who presented as Christian. The remains were also confirmed as Columbus’s. Findings were presented via documentary rather than a peer-reviewed paper at the time; full data release was later postponed, and independent geneticists noted the lack of published sequences, the vagueness of “compatible with,” and that no unique “Jewish gene” exists. Note: Mario himself posted the Sephardic finding clearly in October 2024 (“NEW STUDY REVEALS COLUMBUS WAS A SEPHARDIC JEW”), so the omission in the newer post is selective.
