🚨🇬🇧 More than 600 prisoners are being released early across the UK TODAY as the Labour government attempts to tackle a prison overcrowding crisis. The inmates, including burglars, domestic abusers, stalkers, and people convicted of assault, are being freed after serving as little as 1/3 of their sentences. This is the second wave of releases in less than a week, following 700 prisoners freed last Thursday. The totally expected part? Dozens have ALREADY been recalled to prison for breaching release conditions or committing new offenses. Greater Manchester Police alone arrested 8 recently released prisoners over alleged offenses including robbery, drug crimes, and domestic violence. A total of 4,500 inmates are expected to be released under the scheme, with even prisoners serving sentences exceeding 12 years scheduled for early release next June. The Maldivian Embassy notified families after the men were taken into custody last Saturday. They are among the newest of 6 Maldivian pilots at the airline and had workplace contact with the Omani co-pilot who attacked the captain of Flight 1073, in an attempt to crash that plane on Sept 30.
