🇩🇪 Germany’s SPD is forcing a full leadership vote after its co-leader quits under fire...
Baerbel Bas stepped down following public attacks, including heavy hits from her own CDU/CSU coalition partners.
Finance minister Lars Klingbeil announced the entire party leadership will now stand for re-election in December.
He also called for a new "culture of mutual respect" in German politics.
The timing is brutal.
3 weeks ago, the SPD came second to the AfD in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern after a late comeback, and the same night it posted its worst ever result in Berlin.

@MarioNawfal Very often @MarioNawfal's posts are false or inaccurate:
Following the death of her stepdaughter, Baerbel Bas steps down as SPD chair and requests to be dismissed as minister.
Nawfal should post less and do better research.
