🇪🇺🇷🇺 Philip Pilkington thinks Europe is slowly talking itself into a much wider war with Russia.
Not because one dramatic event suddenly changes everything, but because the rhetoric keeps moving.
Sabotage. Drone incursions. Assassination claims. Russian operations inside Europe.
At some point, Pilkington argues, governments may feel forced to act on the threats they have spent months describing.
“The war is going to spread in Europe.”
His concern is that Poland and Romania could become especially important if the conflict expands, simply because they have some of the more substantial and usable military forces on NATO’s eastern flank.
The danger is not just escalation from Moscow.
It’s that Europe keeps raising the stakes rhetorically until someone decides credibility requires following through.
