🇺🇸🇨🇳 America just found a massive lithium stash in the most unexpected place, the Appalachians. A new government study says the mountains hold 2.3 million tons of the battery metal, enough to power 130 million electric cars or end US imports for centuries. The US currently buys more than half its lithium from overseas while China controls most of the world’s supply. This changes the game for American EV production and national security. MiningCom

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The Iran War just shifted the entire Middle East power balance. Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski says Iran doesn’t even need to fire another shot to win, because America is losing the global narrative. “The American government’s view of sovereignty is: we have our sovereignty… and we have all of yours too. We are in charge.” The world heard it loud and clear, but it’s already moving on. @karen4the6th

🇺🇸 Jim Jordan has invited the Southern Poverty Law Center’s CEO Bryan Fair to testify on May 20. The House Judiciary Committee wants to dig into how the SPLC has been twisting federal civil rights policy for years. Things like labeling mainstream conservative and Christian groups as “hate groups” and even helping the Biden administration target traditional Catholics as potential domestic terrorists. The letter also accuses them of funneling money to extremists while misleading donors. This is the same organization whose “hate map” has been treated like gospel by the media and corporations for over a decade. JudiciaryGOP

"There are a lot more people on Iran's side. A lot more countries, a lot more economic power, energy power, diplomatic power, and even military power on Iran's side beyond Iran than there is on the US side." Trump wants a win. 🚨🇺🇸 The Department of Justice just indicted a former senior adviser to Dr. Anthony Fauci on charges of destroying and concealing COVID-19 origin records. -Dr. David Morens, 78, former NIAID official, indicted on five counts including conspiracy against the United States, destruction of federal records, and concealment of records -Faces up to 51 years in federal prison if convicted -Indictment alleges a "kickback" scheme involving wine bottles and meals at Michelin-starred restaurants in exchange for "official acts favorable" to a federal grantee -Two unnamed co-conspirators identified as Peter Daszak (EcoHealth Alliance) and Dr. Gerald Keusch (Boston University) -Morens emailed: "I learned from our FOIA lady how to make emails disappear after I am FOIA'd but before the search starts" -He told colleagues he used Gmail to bypass federal records laws and "always delete anything I don't want to see in the New York Times" -Fauci is referenced in the indictment as "Senior NIAID Official 1" but is not currently named as a co-conspirator -Former House COVID Subcommittee Chairman Brad Wenstrup said "additional indictments may follow" -Acting AG Todd Blanche: "These allegations represent a profound abuse of trust at a time when the American people needed it most" The COVID origins cover-up that millions of Americans suspected, and that the political class spent years dismissing as conspiracy theory, just got formalized in a 29-page federal indictment with names, dates, and dollar amounts. The last time a broadcast license was revoked over programming was 1969 -Disney says it's confident in its standing and prepared to defend itself "through the appropriate legal channels" Source: WSJ @BrendanCarrFCC

🇺🇸🇬🇧 King Charles gave Trump one of the coolest gifts of the State Visit. The original ship’s bell from HMS Trump , a WWII British submarine that served in the Pacific and was the only Royal Navy vessel ever to carry that name. Charles told Trump that the old sub was an “AUKUS predecessor” and said it should stand as “a testimony to our nations’ shared history and shining future.” Then came the playful closer: “And should you ever need to get hold of us, just give us a ring.” The King is clearly having fun with the name, and Trump is now the proud owner of a genuine piece of naval history. 🚨🇬🇧🇺🇸 King Charles praises America as a "defender of freedom" at the White House state dinner: "American leadership helped rebuild a shattered continent. We shall never forget that. Freedom is again under attack... Today, our partnerships in NATO and AUKUS deepen our technological and military cooperation." Charles used a state dinner toast to gently remind Trump that NATO still exists, that Russia is still the aggressor in Ukraine, and that American leadership is the historical reason Europe is free at all. With Trump publicly questioning NATO's value, threatening to leave the alliance, and warming relations with Moscow, Charles chose his moment carefully...

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump just decided how this war ends, and it's not how anyone expected... Trump has reportedly told his aides to prepare for an extended U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The president apparently sees both available off-ramps, pulling out of the conflict entirely or resuming combat operations, as carrying significantly more risk than maintaining the current naval blockade indefinitely. This follows separate reporting that the intelligence community was directed to assess the risks of declaring unilateral victory and pulling back from the conflict. Both data points point in the same direction. Trump is choosing to settle into the standoff rather than force a resolution either way. The logic is brutal but coherent. Resuming bombing burns through more JASSM-ER missiles the Pentagon can't replace for years, risks more American casualties, drives oil even higher heading into midterms, and almost certainly fails to extract the nuclear concession Iran refuses to make. Walking away with no deal hands Iran a clean political victory and tells every adversary that American military pressure can be outwaited. Maintaining the blockade keeps the pressure on Tehran, slowly degrades the Iranian economy, and preserves Trump's leverage for whenever a real diplomatic opening emerges. But there's a real cost to "indefinite blockade" as a strategy. American gas prices already at $4.18 don't ease while the Strait stays effectively closed. Fertilizer prices stay 90% above pre-war levels. Global supply chains stay fractured. The Iran war might be morphing into a permanent low-intensity confrontation, with the U.S. Navy enforcing a blockade in perpetuity while Iran keeps boarding ships, deploying cyber attacks, and waiting for the political pressure on Trump to crack first. 🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump on Iran tonight at the State Dinner: We have militarily defeated that particular opponent. We're never going to let them have a nuclear weapon. "And we're doing a little Middle East work right now, too, if you might know. We're doing very well. We have militarily defeated that particular opponent. Charles agrees with me even more than I do. We're never going to let that opponent ever have a nuclear weapon. They know that, and they've known it right now very powerfully." Trump just declared military victory over Iran in front of King Charles, and dropped the line that Iran will never be allowed to go nuclear, full stop. Iran's "peace proposal" landed on his desk yesterday with everything except the nuclear program included. Tonight he answered it on the record in front of the world.

🇺🇸🇬🇧 King Charles gifts Trump the bell from HMS Trump: “If you ever need us… just give us a ring.” “Speaking of submarine alliances, there was one particular AUKUS predecessor launched from a UK shipyard in 1944 that served most of her life attached to the Fourth Submarine Squadron in Australia, playing a critical role during the war in the Pacific. Her name: HMS Trump. So tonight, Mr. President, I’m delighted to present you with the original bell that hung on the conning tower of your valiant namesake. May it stand as a testimony to our nations’ shared history and shining future. And should you ever need to get hold of us… well, just give us a ring.” I mean, at this point, if I were Starmer, I’d just let the King handle the diplomatic affairs.
