🇺🇸🇮🇷 The U.S. has surged carriers, aircraft, and thousands of troops... and the pressure to use them is building fast. Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski warns: “Trump has to have a plan, not just an off-ramp. He has to protect his reputation.” The longer he waits, the deeper the hole. @karen4the6th

🚨🇺🇸 The Department of Justice just indicted a former senior adviser to Dr. Anthony Fauci on charges of destroying and concealing COVID-19 origin records. -Dr. David Morens, 78, former NIAID official, indicted on five counts including conspiracy against the United States, destruction of federal records, and concealment of records -Faces up to 51 years in federal prison if convicted -Indictment alleges a "kickback" scheme involving wine bottles and meals at Michelin-starred restaurants in exchange for "official acts favorable" to a federal grantee -Two unnamed co-conspirators identified as Peter Daszak (EcoHealth Alliance) and Dr. Gerald Keusch (Boston University) -Morens emailed: "I learned from our FOIA lady how to make emails disappear after I am FOIA'd but before the search starts" -He told colleagues he used Gmail to bypass federal records laws and "always delete anything I don't want to see in the New York Times" -Fauci is referenced in the indictment as "Senior NIAID Official 1" but is not currently named as a co-conspirator -Former House COVID Subcommittee Chairman Brad Wenstrup said "additional indictments may follow" -Acting AG Todd Blanche: "These allegations represent a profound abuse of trust at a time when the American people needed it most" The COVID origins cover-up that millions of Americans suspected, and that the political class spent years dismissing as conspiracy theory, just got formalized in a 29-page federal indictment with names, dates, and dollar amounts. The next question is whether the men referred to as "Senior Official 1" and his bosses can keep dodging the same gravity. Source: NY Post

🚨🇺🇸 The FCC just launched an early review of Disney's ABC broadcast television licenses... -FCC Chairman Brendan Carr ordered the early review today -ABC has until May 28 to file its early license renewals -Comes one day after Trump called for Jimmy Kimmel to be fired over a joke about First Lady Melania -Kimmel's joke on April 23 referred to Melania having "a glow like an expectant widow," days before the assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents' Dinner -The official basis for the review is an existing FCC probe into Disney's DEI practices launched last year, which Carr says could violate the Communications Act -FCC sources call the timing of the announcement "coincidental" -Historically, the FCC has rarely launched an early license review. The last time a broadcast license was revoked over programming was 1969 -Disney says it's confident in its standing and prepared to defend itself "through the appropriate legal channels" Source: WSJ @BrendanCarrFCC

🇺🇸🇬🇧 King Charles gave Trump one of the coolest gifts of the State Visit. The original ship’s bell from HMS Trump , a WWII British submarine that served in the Pacific and was the only Royal Navy vessel ever to carry that name. Charles told Trump that the old sub was an “AUKUS predecessor” and said it should stand as “a testimony to our nations’ shared history and shining future.” Then came the playful closer: “And should you ever need to get hold of us, just give us a ring.” The King is clearly having fun with the name, and Trump is now the proud owner of a genuine piece of naval history. 🇺🇸🇬🇧 @piersmorgan : Starmer telling the U.S. it couldn't use UK bases for the Iran operation was "unconscionable." Now you understand why the King had to be the one charming Trump back to the table this week... t.co/KdTmVi7XyB

🚨🇬🇧🇺🇸 King Charles praises America as a "defender of freedom" at the White House state dinner: "American leadership helped rebuild a shattered continent. We shall never forget that. Freedom is again under attack... Today, our partnerships in NATO and AUKUS deepen our technological and military cooperation." Charles used a state dinner toast to gently remind Trump that NATO still exists, that Russia is still the aggressor in Ukraine, and that American leadership is the historical reason Europe is free at all. With Trump publicly questioning NATO's value, threatening to leave the alliance, and warming relations with Moscow, Charles chose his moment carefully...

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump just decided how this war ends, and it's not how anyone expected... Trump has reportedly told his aides to prepare for an extended U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The president apparently sees both available off-ramps, pulling out of the conflict entirely or resuming combat operations, as carrying significantly more risk than maintaining the current naval blockade indefinitely. This follows separate reporting that the intelligence community was directed to assess the risks of declaring unilateral victory and pulling back from the conflict. Both data points point in the same direction. Trump is choosing to settle into the standoff rather than force a resolution either way. The logic is brutal but coherent. Resuming bombing burns through more JASSM-ER missiles the Pentagon can't replace for years, risks more American casualties, drives oil even higher heading into midterms, and almost certainly fails to extract the nuclear concession Iran refuses to make. Walking away with no deal hands Iran a clean political victory and tells every adversary that American military pressure can be outwaited. Maintaining the blockade keeps the pressure on Tehran, slowly degrades the Iranian economy, and preserves Trump's leverage for whenever a real diplomatic opening emerges. But there's a real cost to "indefinite blockade" as a strategy. American gas prices already at $4.18 don't ease while the Strait stays effectively closed. Fertilizer prices stay 90% above pre-war levels. Global supply chains stay fractured. The Iran war might be morphing into a permanent low-intensity confrontation, with the U.S. Navy enforcing a blockade in perpetuity while Iran keeps boarding ships, deploying cyber attacks, and waiting for the political pressure on Trump to crack first. 🚨🇸🇴 UK Maritime Trade Operations just issued a warning after a tanker was approached by a Potential Attack Group (PAG) 500 nautical miles east of Mogadishu, Somalia. -A large wooden mothership crossed in front of the tanker at 1 nautical mile -Two additional small craft approached from the starboard side and closed to within 400 meters -Armed sentries on the tanker spotted the threat, and all three vessels turned away -UKMTO warning of "increased threat of possible PAG activity" in the region -All vessels in the area advised to transit with caution and report suspicious activity Source: UKMTO

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump on Iran tonight at the State Dinner: We have militarily defeated that particular opponent. We're never going to let them have a nuclear weapon. "And we're doing a little Middle East work right now, too, if you might know. We're doing very well. We have militarily defeated that particular opponent. Charles agrees with me even more than I do. We're never going to let that opponent ever have a nuclear weapon. They know that, and they've known it right now very powerfully." Trump just declared military victory over Iran in front of King Charles, and dropped the line that Iran will never be allowed to go nuclear, full stop. Iran's "peace proposal" landed on his desk yesterday with everything except the nuclear program included. Tonight he answered it on the record in front of the world.

🇺🇸🇬🇧 King Charles gifts Trump the bell from HMS Trump: “If you ever need us… just give us a ring.” “Speaking of submarine alliances, there was one particular AUKUS predecessor launched from a UK shipyard in 1944 that served most of her life attached to the Fourth Submarine Squadron in Australia, playing a critical role during the war in the Pacific. Her name: HMS Trump. So tonight, Mr. President, I’m delighted to present you with the original bell that hung on the conning tower of your valiant namesake. May it stand as a testimony to our nations’ shared history and shining future. And should you ever need to get hold of us… well, just give us a ring.” I mean, at this point, if I were Starmer, I’d just let the King handle the diplomatic affairs.

🇺🇸🇬🇧 Trump on Windsor Castle: "A structure that's so beautiful and so long that it never seemed to end. It was nothing like I've ever seen." Only Trump could review a 950-year-old castle like he's leaving a TripAdvisor five-star😂

🇺🇸🇬🇧 King Charles to Trump: We Tried Remodeling the White House First… in 1814 “On this occasion, I cannot help noticing the readjustments to the East Wing, Mr. President. Following your visit to Windsor Castle last year, I’m sorry to say that we British, of course, made our own small attempt at real estate redevelopment of the White House in 1814.” Yes… he’s joking about the time the British literally burned down the White House.

🇺🇸🇬🇧 Trump’s toast to King Charles: “Here’s to 250 years of freedom.” “I offer a toast to 250 years of American freedom, and very importantly, to a great man, His Majesty King Charles III. Thank you very much.” t.co/9nf48Vq3i7

🇺🇦🇷🇺 Ukraine just hit Russia's Tuapse oil refinery on the Black Sea for the third time in less than two weeks. Putin went on record saying drone strikes on civilian infrastructure are "becoming more frequent" and warned of serious environmental consequences. That's a telling admission. Ukraine's military confirmed this is a deliberate campaign to drain Russian oil revenue and starve the war machine of funding. The irony: Russia calls it an attack on civilians. Ukraine calls it economics. The frequency of these strikes suggests Kyiv is winning that argument on the ground. Source: Reuters

🚨🇺🇸🇬🇧 King Charles called the State Dinner "a very considerable improvement on the Boston Tea Party": "Thank you, Mr. President and Mrs. Trump, for your splendid dinner this evening, which, may I say, is a VERY considerable improvement on the Boston Tea Party." 249 years late, but the British finally landed a clean one back🤣

🚨🇺🇸🇬🇧 King Charles tonight, addressing the WHCD shooting in his toast: "As the words of that famous anthem remind us, 'this is the land of the free, and the home of the brave,' as your own response demonstrates." A moment of grace from the King.

🇺🇸🇬🇧 Trump used part of his State Dinner toast to honor Rory McIlroy's Masters win: "Unconquerable courage." Just the two greatest golfers’ egos in one room.🤣 t.co/dVezg0HFAx

🇺🇸🇬🇧Trump tied British and American greatness to the same DNA: "The same audacity that called a small island kingdom to rule the seven seas, and rule them you did, inspired the children of 13 American colonies to explore a Great Frontier... and settle what was known as the Wild, Wild West." This was Trump at his most romantic about civilization. In a moment when Russia and China are openly courting Iran, when Germany is publicly calling America "humiliated," and when the post-war global order looks shakier than at any point in decades, Trump used a White House dinner to remind everyone watching which two countries built the modern world and which two countries he believes still run it.

🇺🇸🇬🇧Trump: Our Founders Fought to Reclaim Their Rights, Not Reject Their Heritage “In the eyes of America’s founders, our War of Independence was fought not to reject this heritage, but to reclaim it and perfect it. As Founding Father George Mason wrote: ‘We claim nothing but the liberty and privileges of Englishmen in the same degree as we had still continued among our brethren when we were in Great Britain.’"

🇺🇸🇬🇧 King Charles let the jokes loose at the State Dinner tonight: "Mr. President, you recently said if it weren't for the United States, Europeans would be speaking German. Dare I say, if it wasn't for us, you'd be speaking French." A clean, surgical, very British comeback. The room loved it🤣

🚨🇺🇸🇬🇧 Trump at the State Dinner roasting the Democrats: "He got them to STAND. I've never been able to do it." Watching the "No Kings" caucus rise for an actual king is the kind of footage that ages like wine🤣

🇺🇸🇬🇧Trump: We share a transcendent bond with what Thomas Jefferson called our ‘mother country.’ “Tonight, in return, we are doing something very special as we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence, a very big moment in our country. And it’s only natural that Americans begin this commemoration by paying tribute to the transcendent bond we share with the nation Thomas Jefferson himself once called our ‘mother country.’"

🇺🇸🇬🇧 Trump tonight on the U.S.-UK alliance: "Ours is a treasured friendship, an eternal bond, and a true story of extraordinary heroism and skill. History has known no more powerful force than the combination of American Patriotism and British Pride." A pointed message wrapped in pageantry. With the Iran war stretching the western alliance to its limits and German Chancellor Merz publicly saying the U.S. is being "humiliated," Trump used a state dinner to remind everyone in the room and watching at home which alliance he still considers the bedrock.

🚨🇺🇸🇬🇧 Trump calls Britain "our mother country": "We are really doing something very special, preparing to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence, a big time in our country. And it's only natural that Americans begin this commemoration by paying tribute to the transcendent bond we share with the nation that Thomas Jefferson himself called our mother country." A nice circle... From revolution to family reunion in two and a half centuries.
