CREEPY ROBOT TODDLER MIMICS HUMAN EXPRESSIONS—AND YOUR NIGHTMARES Scientists in Japan made a robot toddler that mimics human emotions using “waveforms” for movements like blinking and yawning. The result? Its face is more fluid—but still firmly in the uncanny valley. While it’s an improvement over stiff, preprogrammed bots, let’s be real: its darting, off-focus eyes don’t scream “human.” They scream “demonic porcelain doll.” Want lifelike robots? Maybe skip the creepy baby prototype next time. Source: Popular Science

🚨🇺🇸LEGACY MEDIA GOES SOFT ON CRIME: DELETING THE PAST TO "PROTECT" CRIMINALS Some US newspapers like The Oregonian and Cleveland . com are now scrubbing old crime stories to give offenders a "clean slate," prioritizing criminal privacy over public accountability. This trend, backed by editors citing "compassion" and Google funding, undermines journalism’s core purpose: truth and transparency. Legacy media now picks who gets forgotten while victims remain silenced and society stays uninformed. Instead of confronting crime or holding the justice system accountable, the media is erasing inconvenient truths. If accountability is sacrificed to cater to narratives, who’s really being served? Certainly not justice. Source: The Guardian

🚨🇺🇸SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY SHUTDOWN OVER BOMB THREAT BY JORDANIAN NATIONAL Ahmad Alhendi, 28, from Oak Lawn, IL, caused a 4-hour highway closure on I-85 in South Carolina after claiming he had a “small bomb” in his truck during a traffic stop. No explosives were found, but the scare halted traffic for thousands. Globe Transportation, his employer, has stayed silent. Alhendi faces charges including making a false bomb threat, remains in custody on a $20,238 bond and awaits a 2026 immigration hearing for overstaying his visa. Why the long wait? No one knows. 🚨🇺🇸WHO IS SAM SHOEMATE, AND WHY DID THE CYBERTRUCK BOMBER REACH OUT TO HIM? Sam Shoemate, a retired soldier and the man behind the popular Instagram account "terminalcwo," is a well-known advocate for military veterans. With thousands of followers across platforms, Shoemate shares raw insights about life in the military and sheds light on issues impacting service members. That reputation is likely why Green Beret Matthew Livelsberger emailed him the day before the Tesla explosion in Las Vegas. Livelsberger asked Shoemate to help him connect with media outlets to share his concerns about drone warfare and alleged war crimes he’d witnessed in Afghanistan. In the email, Livelsberger said he believed federal agents were tracking him and mentioned having a VBIED (vehicle-borne explosive), a chilling preview of the tragedy that followed. Officials believe the email is legit and shows Livelsberger’s mental state unraveling before the tragic incident. Sources: Washington Post, @samosaur

🚨RUSSIA STOPS TEEN BOMBERS IN YEKATERINBURG 4 teens, barely old enough for a learner’s permit, were caught by Russia’s FSB plotting to bomb a busy area in Yekaterinburg, a major city in the Ural Mountains. Think of it as Russia’s Chicago—big, important, and not where you want chaos. Authorities seized DIY bomb parts and linked 2 to an earlier police car arson. These kids, born in 2007-08, weren’t just playing with fire this time—they were tied to a banned extremist group. The FSB says the group fed them dangerous ideas, inspiring plans for mass violence and even an earlier police car arson. The teens had built bomb components, ready to target a crowded area. Instead of pulling off their misguided mission, they’re now facing serious criminal charges—and a lifetime ban from building anything. Source: Reuters

🚨🇨🇳HMP VIRUS OUTBREAK IN CHINA: "WINTER SURGE" OR SOMETHING MORE? Hospitals in northern China are packed as cases of human metapneumovirus (HMPV) surge, leaving parents scrambling for care in overcrowded pediatric wards. HMPV, the “cold’s sneaky cousin,” causes flu-like symptoms but can lead to pneumonia in kids, seniors, and the immunocompromised. No vaccine, no magic cure—just rest, fluids, and patience. China calls it “just a winter thing,” but emergency measures and new tracking programs suggest otherwise. The WHO hasn’t labeled this a global health emergency, but the surge has health authorities ramping up surveillance. Neighboring countries like Taiwan and Cambodia are watching closely. Showing ID to vote is a bridge too far. Maybe they should consult Botswana on how democracy works. Source: The IAC Project Pages
