🚨SEN RAND PAUL INTRODUCES GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN PREVENTION ACT TO CUT SPENDING AND KEEP GOVERNMENT OPEN Senator Rand Paul will reintroduce the Government Shutdown Prevention Act today, aiming to prevent government shutdowns by cutting spending instead of relying on bloated bills. This plan seeks to incentivize timely spending decisions while maintaining government operations at reduced funding levels, driving toward fiscal responsibility. Source: @RandPaul

🚨🇺🇸SPEAKER JOHNSON: WE WILL NOT HAVE A GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN "We will meet our obligations for our farmers, for the disaster victims all over the country...military...everyone who relies on the government for a paycheck will be paid over the holidays." t.co/Ubl4c17veg

ELON: MANY PEOPLE IN THE GOVERNMENT COULD BE MORE PRODUCTIVE ELSEWHERE “We will reduce a lot of government headcount, but we're going to give very long severances. Like 2 years, or something like that. Look, just go do something else is what we're going to say. And you'll get paid for 2 years. So, you've got a lot of time to go and figure out something else to do. The point is not to be cruel or to have people not be able to pay their mortgage or anything. We just have too many people in the government sector, and they could be more productive elsewhere.” Source: Philadelphia, October 18, 2024

🇺🇸🇪🇺 TRUMP THREATENS EU WITH TARIFFS OVER TRADE IMBALANCE Trump warned the European Union to ramp up purchases of U.S. oil and natural gas or face tariffs, citing a $209 billion trade deficit in goods with the bloc. Trump: “I told the European Union that they must make up their tremendous deficit with the United States by the large scale purchase of our oil and gas. Otherwise, it is TARIFFS all the way!!!” Experts note challenges: the U.S. can’t force companies to export to specific regions, and the EU, lacking a single decision-maker, can’t mandate its members to buy American fossil fuels. EU officials signaled openness to talks but highlighted ongoing diversification efforts away from Russian energy. Sources: AP News, Truth Social

🇺🇸ELON: “SHE WAS A SKEKSIS IN DARK CRYSTAL!” Elon’s deep-cut burn comparing Democrat congresswoman Rosa DeLauro to a Skeksis after she called in "President Musk" in a pretty insulting rant... Fans of 'The Dark Crystal' know it’s not just about their creepy, vulture-like aesthetic. It’s the Skeksis’ corrupt, power-hungry scheming and absolute love for hoarding resources at everyone else’s expense that makes the comparison hit like a shard of the Crystal. In short: Elon just turned 1980s fantasy into modern political shade.

🇺🇸CHAMATH: DOJ IS DISCONNECTED FROM REALITY “I saw the DOJ's theoretical guidance on the Google antitrust matter. Their idea is to divest the browser.
