I would expect both Hamas and the IDF to make sure they do all they can to demonstrate their humanitarian ethics whenever there's a camera. Both sides are fighting a global war for the hearts and minds. I wouldn't trust any content either side puts out. If, however, the hostages speak positively about Hamas AFTER they are freed, that's a different story. If they don't speak to the press at all, then something would be off.

My prediction is that by the end of the war, Hamas' military wing will be no more, however their ideology will live on. This is NOT a good outcome, and NOT the way to reach peace in the region. The only way is for Hamas' military wing, AS WELL AS their ideology, are eradicated. And the current war is not the best way to achieve this.
