How long can a baby survive without food or water? The longest we've found is 6 days when a baby was found after being dumped in Australia. Andrew McDonald, a Sydney paediatrician and Labor MP, said babies, born without complications such as respiratory problems, were very resilient and, if kept warm, could survive without fluid for four days. So it's either this baby in Gaza broke all records, or he survived days rather than a full month. Either way, I am glad he's alive and hope he recovers and grows up healthy.

I would expect both Hamas and the IDF to make sure they do all they can to demonstrate their humanitarian ethics whenever there's a camera. Both sides are fighting a global war for the hearts and minds. I wouldn't trust any content either side puts out. If, however, the hostages speak positively about Hamas AFTER they are freed, that's a different story. If they don't speak to the press at all, then something would be off.
