🚨BREAKING: Unofficial estimates indicate that about 750 Israelis are still missing - Jerusalem Post A senior Hamas leader has said that the group had captured enough Israeli soldiers to be able to free ALL Palestinian prisoners in any prisoner exchange. The total number of Israelis captured by Hamas was "several times greater" than dozens - A spokesperson for the armed wing of Hamas. This will be BY FAR the largest number of Israeli prisoners captured by Hamas IN HISTORY. Here is a list of recent prisoner exchanges between Hamas and Israel: 1996: Israel releases 1,050 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for two Israeli soldiers captured by Hamas. 2004: Israel releases 400 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for an Israeli soldier captured by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. 2011: Hamas releases Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit in exchange for 1,027 Palestinian prisoners. Based on these numbers, Hamas should be able to release the largest number of prisoners from Israel if a prisoner swap takes place.
