Secretive UK Gov Agency Worked With Meta/Twitter/Google To Censor Lockdown Discussions A secretive government agency called the ‘CDU’ (Counter-Disinformation Unit) worked with social media companies in order to suppress discussions on Covid lockdowns. The CDU specifically targeted those critical of lockdown measures and mass vaccination for children. The CDU also operated within the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and had the power to request content removal from social media platforms. Multiple MP’s have come out and spoken against this government agency and likened it’s actions to that of the Chinese Communist Party, however the UK government defended it’s actions as protecting public health and national security, denying any involvement in the removal of specific posts by the named individuals. The report by The Telegraph also mentions a Counter-Disinformation Policy Forum involving government officials, big tech companies such as Facebook and Google, and the BBC, aimed at limiting the spread of COVID-19 disinformation. Did governments really do this for the GREATER GOOD? Or is the West becoming more and more like China?
