Musk issued the threat after it was revealed that Microsoft had dropped Twitter from its advertising platform following a dispute over its refusal to pay Twitter's API fees. Musk tweeted: "They trained illegally using Twitter data. Lawsuit time." Application programming interfaces (API) are a type of software that allows for automated marketing. It provides data on what is occurring on the platform. Will Elon or Microsoft back down?
