Meloni's government is moving to let police hold people under 18 for up to 12 HOURS when authorities have evidence they pose a public danger. Another measure would allow youths deemed a public-safety risk to be barred from demonstrations or designated areas. Rome is also expected to deploy 500 additional troops to Milan ahead of more protests planned for Saturday. The crackdown follows riots in which hooded protesters, many believed to be minors, looted stores, burned bins, and clashed with police. Warsaw's Foreign Minister spoke to the Polish Press Agency yesterday, calling it a "genuine problem." Sikorski said the shortage of interceptors had worsened after the Iran war, and that Russia now produces more missiles.
